SUMMARY
The Return to Installation 00 was an Office of Naval Intelligence mission undertaken by the UNSC Rubicon to return to the Ark following the Battle of Installation 00 and investigate the status of the facility in August 2554. Late in 2553, contact was lost with automated probes that had been sent to the Ark in the aftermath of the Human-Covenant War, spurring the commissioning of the UNSC Rubicon in December 2553 to investigate. Upon arrival to the Ark, the remains of 343 Guilty Spark were discovered, who proceeded to take control of the ship. Surviving crew on the surface of the Ark were later discovered by the caretaker of Installation 00, 000 Tragic Solitude, and subverted for its purposes.
