Jacob Keyes, date of photo unknown, participated in the Battle of the Rubble, being forced into taking command of UNSC forces in the region after the death of Commander Dmitri Zheng, c. 2535.
SUMMARY
The Battle of the Rubble was a battle that took place in the 23 Librae system on a grouping of Lagrangian asteroids trailing Hesiod, a gas giant in the system, some time around 2535. The Rubble was colonized after survivors of the glassing of Madrigal fled to other locations within the system, many of which were insurrection loyalists. The Covenant attempted to infiltrate the Rubble in order to recover data pertaining to the locations of other human colonies. The Covenant infiltration was ultimately thwarted by Spartan-II Gray Team.
The events of the Battle of the Rubble were immediately followed by the Battle of Metisette.
