SUMMARY

The Battle of Charum Hakkor was one of the final battles of the Human-Forerunner Wars and also one of the largest, spanning over fifty years and likely consuming millions of lives. Charum Hakkor was the capital of the ancient human civilization, and as such was protected by a large defense force that was able to fend off the might of the Forerunners for decades. Using some of the Precursor technology left on the planet, humanity kept the Forerunners from taking the planet until they were eventually betrayed by their San’Shyuum allies. The end of the battle saw the meeting of the leader of both military forces, the Didact and the Lord of Admirals, with the latter being composed along with the remaining human forces in order to study the Flood.
